WHY’S

Good morning!

Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was good too and I did enjoy to watch that bit of snow fall from my bedroom window.

I do confess that I would swap that for a run by the beach anytime.

A few years back, I made a decision that shaped my life. I decided to shift career and quit a job that offered me financial security (chartered certified accountant, in case you are wondering), to do something that at the time, had no idea how it was going to turn out.

Deep down I knew and felt it was the right thing to do. Wellness, fitness and nutrition was something that was always my passion and felt like and anchor for me.

Today, I feel very excited and humbled at the same time to have a job that gives me the chance to meet so many beautiful people every day. Everyone with different goals and dreams.

SO happy to be part of their journey and to help and guide them through their destination. It gives me a great feeling of contribution and satisfaction.

Today I will share with you a glimpse or two from some of my real-life conversations with them. I am sure you will find it as cute and amusing as I did.

CLIENT A : YES, I WANT TO LOOK GOOD NAKED
ME: LOL FAIR ENOUGH! LOVE THE HONESTY!

ME: WHAT IS YOUR TARGET?
CLIENT B: I WANT TO BECOME MASSIVE!
ME: REALLY, WHY?
CLIENT B: SO THAT I CAN FEEL STRONG AND LIFT HEAVY WEIGHTS AND DO STUFF..

CLIENT C: SO HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS BELLY? SHOULD I DO CRUNCHES OR SIT-UPS EVERY DAY?
ME: NO, CRUNCHES  WILL NOT KILL THE BELLY.

ME: HOW COULD I HELP YOU?
CLIENT D: I WANT TO HAVE YOUR ARMS, YOUR LEGS, BUM AND EVERYTHING. BASICALLY I WANT TO BE YOU!
ME: REALLY ? THANK YOU.. BUT WHY?
CLIENT D: YOU ARE ALL ABOUT GUNS AND GLUTES! YOU LOOK AMAZING, YOU MUST HAVE EVERY MAN CHASING YOU.
ME : IN SILENCE IN MY OWN HEAD : HUSTON… WE HAVE A PROBLEM!  🙂

As you can see, everyone is different. Everyone has different goals for their own different reasons.

When you begin a journey, you know it is going to take some effort and time.  There will be good days and not so good ones. Sometimes your energy and your motivation will be low. Not all days are the same, and then you will need a very solid reason to pull you through and get going.

It is crucial that you know your why. Make sure you are doing it for the right reasons.

If that motive is not strong enough or important enough for you, you will most probably find it hard to continue and you will give up when you get to an obstacle.

That motive must PULL you and not to push you to take action.That is what will make you show up every time.

And this is something you can apply in whatever is that you do in your life.

Personally I believe that it is not the goal that matters and not even the why itself, but what matters the most, is the feeling associated with that why. I truly believe is all about how it makes us feel when we think of it and who we slowly become in the process of getting there.And that I believe, is our common ground.

We all want it for that feeling and not just for the image. We all want a picture with a meaning and a feeling attached to it.

I am pretty sure you agree with me on that.

So just take a moment and make sure that you get your why’s right.
